　　奇瑞全新東方之子是新一代的中級轎車，主攻中國公商務客戶群，相比于現款的奇瑞東方之子，這款全新的產品經過多處改進之后，顯得非常沉穩、大氣。新款東方之子氣質變化非常大，全新的外觀設注入了不少的時尚元素，完全擺脫了現款車型給人的中庸感覺。

　　新東方之子的內飾布局也有提升，中控臺的功能區域劃分清晰，整體向駕駛者傾斜，體現了以駕駛者為主的思想。不過灰色與米色的顏色搭配略顯“廉價”，個人認為換成內黑效果會更好。有使用軟性材質裝飾，手感不錯。

　　 新東方之子將會搭配1.8L ACTEC0-SQR481FC和2.0L ACTEC0-SQR484F兩款自主研發的發動機，它們都配備DVVT技術，目前普遍使用于奇瑞旗下的各種車型。其中1.8L發動機的最大功率為97kW（132馬力）/5750rpm，最大扭矩為170N·m/4300-4500rpm；2.0L發動機的最大功率為102kW（139馬力）/5750rpm，最大扭矩為182N·m/4300-4500rpm。與1.8L發動機匹配只有一款5擋變速箱，而與2.0L發動機匹配則有5擋手動變速箱和CVT變速箱。
